New Game Slip
When starting a new game you specify the players in this slip. The slider is used for setting the Deep Green think level. For small adjustments, tap the minus and plus buttons. The game settings can be changed at any time during the game:

Play Mode
Deep Green "thinking" before making its move. The status line shows the last move, the thinking process, and whose turn it is (the dark square at the right indicating it's black's turn):

Playback Mode
A game can be reviewed in playback mode at any time during and after the game. The Move button in play mode is replaced by the 5 VCR-like buttons. These buttons let you 1) go to the starting position, 2) go to the previous move, 3) auto-replay the moves from the shown position, 4) go to the next move, and 5) go to the last move in the game:

Setup Mode
When in setup mode you can set up the pieces as you like - ideal when solving specific chess problems. The Move button is replaced by the Setup button for quick access to the standard board and an empty board (see Menus below). Pieces can be moved freely around, added or deleted via the popup that appears when tapping a square, and finally, deleted by scrubbing the usual Newton way:

Rotate Slip
The board can be rotated in any of the 4 orientations at any time. The two "horizontal" orientations are very useful when playing against another human:
